LEAP Technology
With Novum’s patented LEAP technology, each chest and glass-door unit has its own external propane condenser in an innovative, easy-to-replace cartridge. A natural refrigerant, propane complies with the everchanging regulations governing refrigerants and is approved for use under new EU regulations.
Units are a snap to install and maintain — just plug & go and vacuum condensers twice a year. If a condenser fails, a simple cartridge swap will get you up and running in minutes – no more waiting for parts or a technician!
Best of all, having the evaporator outside the food chamber drastically reduces thermal shock to food products when the case goes into automatic defrost. This keeps the unit 100% frost free, reduces food waste, and increases product shelf life. And because there is no electric defrost required, you’ll save big on your energy costs compared to traditional remote refrigeration.
